the brief

Knaresborough Bar 1858 wanted to retain some of the stunning period features of the Grade 2 listed building which was originally constructed as a bank. The aim was to preserve a portion of the unique architectural elements of the building whilst enhancing the Knaresborough Bar 1858 brand; designing and constructing a high-end, relaxed and luxurious finish. Knaresborough Bar 1858 invited Fusion Interiors to initiate and complete the full interior redesign concept.

Fusion Interiors’ primary focus is always on the client’s needs. Conducted over a 2 year period, the design and refurbishment of this commercial space required careful planning. As it was a Grade 2 listed building, this project required planning permissions for structural modifications.

Whilst the objective was to retain some of the period features and architectural elements of the building, changes made to the building were in line with the needs of the client; to create a relaxing space in which customers would feel comfortable. In managing and designing the concept, Fusion Interiors worked with a commercial fit-out company based in Manchester to construct the design.
