Holiday Inn – Gosforth Park Hotel

the brief

The aim was to inject the communal areas with a “new lease of life” as their public spaces were relatively outdated and failed to convey the hotel as a modern environment for guests. In revamping and modernising the entrance and public spaces, they invited Fusion Interiors to conceptualise a new, modern design to amplify the Holiday Inn brand.

Fusion Interiors’ goal was to deliver an enticing, modern and vibrant public space in which guests feel comfortable. The public space now incorporates a collaborative environment in which groups and individuals can conduct informal business meetings, meet with friends and socialise.

In order to distinguish the spaces from business and pleasure, we introduced a range of furniture types i.e. sofas for relaxing and tables/desks for business use. The area now provides guests with access to power points, for electronic device charging, and data points for internet/WIFI access. Fusion Interiors’ primary focus was on the interior design of the Holiday Inn Gorsforth Park public communal area. In consultation with Holiday Inn Gorsforth Park, we considered financial budget for installation of conceptual interior design and deadlines for delivery in order to provide a design capable of meeting the needs of Holiday Inn Gorsforth Park.
