the brief

Although they welcome customers to eat-in with an inviting dining solution, the majority of their sales are driven through local deliveries to customers’ homes and in-store collections. In meeting with various Interior Design specialists, Starbake Patisseries felt that they did not properly understand the business, what they’re trying to achieve and how the interior renovation will support the business’ growth. Through a mutual contact, Starbake Patisseries reached out to Fusion Interiors to help.

The Starbake Patisseries refurbishment was with budget constraints. As a result, Fusion Interiors opted to utilise the space of the patisserie in the most efficient manner. As this was Starbake Patisseries’ first patisserie renovation, it was important Fusion Interiors guided them through the process; ensuring they were kept well-informed and up to date every step of the way.
Commencing the interior design with an initial survey of the patisserie, we developed a brief, with the client, that encapsulated their vision. We then implemented the creation and completion of a visual design concept, in Autocad, and construction drawing package before liaising with the commercial project contractor to complete the full renovation. We aimed to incorporate a contemporary, welcoming setting and create an appeal of intimacy through intimate seating and warm lighting.
Following the renovation, Starbake Patisseries have grown considerably. Not only has their social media following and brand popularity elevated, but they’ve also experienced a growth in home deliveries, in-store collections and in-store seated customers. This has also led to Starbake Patisseries expanding their menu; introducing breakfast for early-risers.
